FAQs

Here’s the answers to some frequently asked questions we get from potential clients.
If you can’t find your answer, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Do I have to be in San Diego to have sessions?

No, as long as you’re in the state of California, you can see any of our Therapists virtually.

What’s your availability?

Each of our Therapists availability varies. Please check out their bio to see their available times for sessions.

How do I know when to look for a therapist?

It may be time to look for a Therapist when you notice struggling in your daily life. If it’s getting harder to get through work, school, and daily activities. If your friendships, family or relationships are struggling. Or if you’re coping in unhealthy ways.

How do I know if I’ve found the right therapist?

The right Therapist will make you feel safe, heard, seen and valid. It shouldn’t feel like more work opening up to them. Also, it’s completely okay to say we’re not the right Therapist for you. We’d still love to support you in finding the right one by offering referrals.

What if my therapist isn’t the right fit?

We encourage you to bring it up to them. Let them know what you’re looking for differently from a Therapist and we’ll do our best to provide referrals.

What’s the next step?

Once you’ve decided you’re ready to take the next step, reach out to us and we’ll schedule a free 15 minute consultation to meet your potential therapist. We’ll go over what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re looking for in a therapist and answer any questions you may have.

How do I schedule?

You can schedule with the therapist after your consult. If you ever need to reschedule sessions, you can do so by clicking the link on your appointment reminder.

How long are therapy sessions?

Therapy hours are typically 45 minutes. This gives us time to write progress notes and prep before sessions. You’re not required to use the full 50 minutes if there’s times you’re overwhelmed, want a break or feel you got what you needed from session.
